25% Milestone!

Today marks the 25% milestone for our capstone project! The first few weeks of the project have been a little hectic, but we've managed to solidify the general direction in which we'd like to take the game and have begun the early stages of bringing everything together. We ended up settling on a cyberpunk Metroidvania that's primarily set inside of a virtual Western world.
Darren has been getting started on our story as well as helping develop the concept art for our main character, and has even made a boss key diagram for our game which covers a lot of what we've discussed in the project so far:

Alex has been primarily focused on our main character, coming up with general character design ideas and offering up suggestions for later gameplay implementations! Their first concept sketch of our protagonist is below:

Nathan has been working on the layout and general aesthetic for our hub area! Their early concept art for the town is below:

Brady has been working on initial gameplay implementation, managing to finish basic collision, movement, jump, and gravity systems for the game. A video showcasing the basic gameplay and some screenshots of the code that's been written are below:
